BRP offers FKM brown and black rubber sheet, also known as fluoroelastomer rubber. It’s commonly known by its brand name, a registered trademark of DuPont. FKM brown and black rubber is well known for its excellent (400°F/200°C) heat resistance and offers excellent resistance to aggressive fuels and chemicals. It is commonly used in o-rings and other sealing applications and it’s popular in the automotive industry.
FKM Black Rubber
FKM black rubber provides excellent corrosion, aging and high temperature resistance. BRP’s FKM black rubber is often used in severe sealing applications and are not flammable. It’s resistant to water, steam, oxygen, ozone, mineral, animal and vegetable oils and greases, diesel oil, petroleum based hydraulic fluids, aliphatic, aromatic fuels and methanol fuel. FKM black rubber is not resistant to polar solvents, glycols, ammonia gases, amines, alkalis or steam. BRP offers black 80 +/- 5 sheet in rolls and sheets with thicknesses ranging from 1/32″ through ½”.
