Mil-PRF 6855 Rubber – Class 3

BRP manufactures Mil-PRF 6855 rubber is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the U.S. military. Ranging in durometer from 40 – 80, these non-oil resistant materials conform to Mil-PRF-6855 specifications. They are commonly used in underwater applications. These materials offer good aging, abrasion and tear resistant properties.

These non-oil resistant polymers were developed before WW II and was used extensively by the United States during WW II due to the unavailability of Natural rubber during those years. Mil-PRF 6855 is economical and offers good abrasion resistance and fair weathering properties. It is not recommended for use with chemicals or solvents.

Mil-PRF 6855 rubber is perfect for mechanical applications and provides impressive strength. There are often used for rubber pads, simple seals and  for shock absorption.
