Commercial Grade EPDM Rubber

BRP manufactures commercial grade EPDM rubber that ensures durability and provides unparalleled quality. Our commercial grade EPDM rubber is tested for conformance to physical requirements and offer a minimum tensile of 1,000 PSI. Commercial grade EPDM rubber provides excellent ozone, UV and weathering characteristics. It’s also very resilient to alkaloids and detergents and mildly resistant to petroleum.

Commerical grade EPDM rubber, also known as ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber, is a synthetic rubber with a wide range of applications. The higher the ethylene content of the EPDM, the higher the loading possibilities of the polymer. This product is an excellent choice for roofing applications as it retains heat and its black color blends well with shingles.

Its excellent UV resistance and temperature cycling properties, make it perfect for high pressure lines and pipe gaskets. Its chemical composition prevents cracking and discoloration from exposure to UV rays and weather damage. Cracking can be hazardous to the integrity and productivity of equipment.

Commercial grade EPDM rubber offers long lasting performance without damage and degradation associated with exposure to the elements. Commercial grade EPDM rubber is similar to the EPDM rubber used for roofing, but it’s less rigid and formable.

Commercial grade EPDM rubber is widely recognized in every industry for its unparalleled weather resistance. Commercial grade EPDM rubber is used in a variety of industries for applications requiring resistance of ozone, high temperature and extreme weather. EPDM can be compounded to be non-staining.

Commercial grade EPDM rubber maintains its flexibility during exposure to harsh extremes like marine and underwater applications. It’s not recommended for use with fuel oils and other petroleum based products. All BRP rubber is American-made in our Lima, Ohio facility.
